Calling all Warriors of Light! Square Enix has finally revealed the release date for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion, along with details on early access.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Expansion Release Date
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is set to launch on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024. However, eager players can jump in a few days earlier with Early Access starting on Friday, June 28th.
In a humorous twist, FFXIV Director Naoki Yoshida (affectionately known as Yoshi-P) revealed that the initial release date was planned for a week earlier. However, they decided to shift schedules to avoid clashing with the release of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. “We figured everyone would be interested in playing the Elden Ring DLC,” Yoshi-P said with a laugh, “I’ll give you one week!”
Pre-Order Bonuses and Collector’s Edition Details
The wait for Dawntrail just got a little sweeter with the announcement of pre-order bonuses. Starting March 26th, players can secure their copy of the expansion and gain access to three glorious days of Early Access. Additionally, pre-ordering or grabbing the Collector’s Edition unlocks some delightful Final Fantasy IX-themed goodies:
- Wind-up Zidane Minion: A miniature version of Zidane Tribal, the iconic protagonist from Final Fantasy IX, to proudly display as your adventuring companion.
- Azeyma’s Earrings: These elegant earrings boast variable attributes that adapt to your chosen class and level. They also grant a helpful 30% EXP boost when defeating enemies up to level 90, but are restricted to Disciples of War or Magic classes and jobs.
