How to fix friend invites not working in Rainbow Six Siege

If you play Rainbow Six Siege, you’ve probably experienced the vexing problem of friend invites not working. Here’s how to fix it.

How to fix friend invites not working in Rainbow Six Siege

Recently, many players have reported having problems inviting their friends, or that their friends are not online or cannot be invited. There are two possible solutions to this problem. The first is a solution proposed by the community, and the second is a solution proposed by Ubisoft.

The first fix is most likely the simpler of the two. As suggested by the community, you should go into the game’s general settings and change the squad privacy from private to public. This allows the host’s friends to join them without needing an invitation.

You can also try the second solution recommended by Ubisoft support. All you have to do is uninstall and reinstall Uplay (reinstallation of the game is not necessary, just the launcher).

It is important to note that this solution is only for players who use the Uplay launcher rather than Steam.
